For this age group, lasers is the headline activity. It is described as Ireland's most exciting multi-level lasers arena, set inside the play frame rather than in a separate flat room, which means ramps, bunkers and hidden corners change how every game plays out.

The practical details parents ask about most:

- Ages 6 to 13. A 13 year old is at the top of the range, so this is one of the few activities at the venue that still formally includes them. - One hour per session, including the safety briefing and all game modes. - Four game modes: Solo, Team Game 1, Team Game 2 and Zombie. Two details make a real difference for older kids. The Laser party and Private Building Hire both run after hours, with start times of 5:30pm or 6:00pm, Both are after-hours options, which can make them particularly appealing for older children who prefer a more private setting.That single factor solves the self-consciousness problem better than any piece of equipment.

The second is the flat pricing on those two packages. At €360 for up to 15 children, they work out at €24 per child at full capacity, which is more than a standard party but includes the whole arena or the whole building. For a group of ten, the per-head figure is higher, so it is worth doing the sum before you choose.

The detail that catches people out: play sessions are walk-in only, with no advance booking, and capacity is capped at every session for safety and comfort. Only parties and lasers are booked online. On a wet Saturday in the school holidays, that means arriving early rather than turning up at 2pm and hoping.

Planning a visit that works for an older child

Go at a quiet time. Midweek afternoons during term time, or the first hour after opening at weekends, mean fewer small children in the frame and shorter queues on the slide.
